The club was set up in 1950 by enthusiasts and continues today with a membership of approximately 50 both senior and junior members.
Our main activities take place on Cawcutts lake,  Histon to the rear of the Holiday Inn on the B1049. Boating takes place on Sunday mornings with arrival at the lake from 09:45 and sailing from 10am to 1pm, although we are allowed to use the lake until 6pm.
This is the only time members are permitted to use the lake which is now controlled by an angling club. We allow scale boats and yachts, but not fast electric boats or IC.

We also have access to Paxton Lake near St Neots.  At this lake fast electric boats are allowed. For more information about this lake, please follow this link.

Visitors are always welcome. We make a nominal charge for non-members to sail, otherwise you are welcome to see what we get up to!  We do keep a “have-a-go” boat which can be made available, especially for the younger visitors, to try the hobby, although it is necessary to contact a Committee member to ensure it will be available.
Due to access restrictions please contact a Committee Member to arrange access to the lakes.
