CAMBRIDGE MODEL BOAT CLUB
Chairman: John Parsons
Secretary: Philip Powell
Treasurer: Dave Ingham
Cawcutts Rep: John Hellard
Paxton Rep: Philip Powell

The club was set up in 1950 by enthusiasts and continues today with a membership of approximately 40 both senior and junior members. Traditionally our activities have taken place on Cawcutts Lake,  Histon to the rear of the Holiday Inn on the B1049. Boating takes place on Sunday mornings with arrival at the lake from 9am and sailing to 1pm. This is the only time members are permitted to use the lake which is now controlled by an angling club. We allow scale boats and yachts, but not fast electric boats or IC.  Do not park in the Hotel Car Park - you WILL be charged.

We now also have access to Paxton Sailing Club's Lake near St Neots.  At this lake fast electric boats are allowed, but not IC. Although the sailing club have not imposed any restrictions on our use of their lake, we plan to use it primarily on the First Tuesday of each month, and on Thursdays. To use it at any other time you will need to arrange to collect a key, either from John Parsons or Paul Shea. Please remember that both CMBC and Paxton Sailing Club's Rules require a minimum of 2 adults to be present when sailing.

We sail at Cawcutts Lake, Cambridge on Sunday mornings from 9am. At Paxton, St Neots we normally sail every Thursday from 10:30am, and on the first Tuesday of the month at the same time. These times can be affected by sailing club activities. Members receive an email with changes.

Due to access restrictions at our lakes, prospective members should contact a Committee Member to arrange access.
